Patch
Patch

12/13/13 - AEC Novi

I was thinking my dog Patch was going to die. Our daughter came home from school to discover a rather hyper pup, and urine all over our home. She called us in a panic. We were stressed out on so many levels -- what to do?? It's 7:30 p.m. now and the mess is cleaned up, but his condition is not improving! From the first phone call I made through the next 24 hours, I was very comforted in the excellent diagnosis and careful, sensitive handling of this rather bizzare presenting problem -- turns out Patchy ate salt-dough Christmas ornaments that left his electrolytes out of balance, and he lost control of his bladder from guzzling huge amounts of water! The vet's questions helped me to determine the cause. With an overnight stay, IVs and monitoring, Patchy was back on track. Pet owners are vulnerable at these times, and I had to write and say thank you so very much for the kind, compassionate service at a very reasonable fee! Given that this is an emergency service for pets, I expected a huge expense with an overnight stay. You could take advantage of pet owners, but the prices aren't any higher than a regular vet visit in my assessment. And the service was outstanding. I am grateful my Patchy is home for Christmas! Blessings to all of you at AEC. - Patch's Owner [Avg. Score: 4.8
