Having never been to an animal emergency center before, we made the mistake of visiting a different emergency center at 2:00 am. After x-rays and blood work we were sent home with antibiotics and anti-nausea pills. We then visited our vet later that same day. She took new x-rays and sent us over to AEC for an ultrasound. Within a few hours our dog was undergoing surgery for an obstruction. Everyone we came in contact with was very thorough, professional and knowledgeable. Both the internist and the surgeon took time to explained everything to us and to call with morning updates. They did a wonderful job, and our dog Maxwell is doing great.
