Ada
Ada

04/03/17 - AEC Rochester

I came home late after a very long day to find that our bunny Ada was rejecting all her food and sitting in very weird, uncomfortable-looking positions. I didn't think anybody would be able to see a rabbit for G.I. stasis at 5 a.m. on a Sunday (of all the times for her to get sick...), but AEC saw her immediately, handled her with great care, and got her right on the road to recovery!

My mom and I had never been able to wrangle Ada before, but we knew a rabbit shouldn't call the shots on whether she was going to receive treatment. We syringe-medicated her for several days (she barely ate the Critical Care, but we tried our best), and finally Ada started to take more and more interest in food and moving around!

I'm incredibly happy Ada is happy, active, and eating a lot. My sister is Ada's actual owner, but the poor girl was at college 8 hours away from home while all this was happening. She and Ada's bunny life partner, Jamie, must feel even more relieved than I do.

Thank you for saving our rabbit's life!!

In my opinion Ada is a very beautiful rabbit, so I could have included all sorts of lovely photos of her. But, I decided to include a Snapchat of the exact moment I noticed she was eating hay again. That's when we knew she was going to be ok! - Ada's human U(???)U [Avg. Score: 4.9
