Oliver
03/12/24 - AEC Rochester
AEC did everything they could until the very last moment. We went there in February and got a diagnosis of anemia for Oliver, they sent us home with medicine and we got an amazing three more weeks with our baby boy. Unfortunately, on March 8th he was having seizures. That morning AEC provided us with more medicine, and more options, but our little baby was ready to move on. The medicine had no effect on his seizures and I think he was very old and his body was shutting down. We had to say goodbye that evening. I remained hopeful until the very end, I just wish they were a little more transparent, I am sure they knew how bad the prognosis was but didn't tell me. At the same time, I would have rather spent the last three weeks happy and hopeful that he'd make it. It was an expensive treatment but there is no price to put on Oliver's life. We were in the room to say goodbye, and the man that ended his life was very soothing and comforting and I am happy he passed away in good hands. The staff that always answered my phone calls was very knowledable as well. - Oliver's Mom [Avg. Score: 4.7]
