Terri Maxine Heemer
Our dear Terri began life in the country, doing what terriers enjoy most: chasing mice, ground squirrels, and other small rodents. She adapted to our small suburban yard 10 years ago, replacing her job as rodent chaser to alarm dog. She would sit stoically in our front foyer, basking in the sunlight, alerting us to any passers-by. She was a wonderful, good, gentle girl who never hurt anyone. Unfortunately her running skills were too elderly to escape an attack of a neighbor's dog, so was taken from us suddenly and cruelly, right before our very eyes. Having taken such good care of her for nearly 15 years, we never expected her life to end in such a traumatic way - she deserved so much better. We will always remember, and miss terribly, our rat terrier, Terri Maxine Heemer
