There's only been one time in my life that I truly believed in 'love at first sight,' and that was the moment I met Rose. Although many little ratties have come through my life, none bloomed inside my spirit like my beloved Rosie.
From those first days when I saw her happy face, eager for companion ship, I had no idea the blessings and inspirations she would bring to my life. From her perpetually youthful energy, to her fiery investigative spirit, to her sincere and genuine affection.... to her indefatigable determination to to rise above the mammary tumor that never dulled her innocent spirit - there has never been such a light in my life....
All of my life I have wanted to create, to write, to unleash many years of pain, cruelty and abuse that kept my heart chained. Rose came into my life and with a flick of her little whiskers she did so much to free me. I will always love her and miss her... and hope that one day I can dedicate something to that little Rose who was named after Marilyn Monroe's character in Niagara. She's MY icon.
