Louca Louchino Louchetto
My name is Louca, I was born in Connecticut on January 29th 2009. Just when I was starting to feel left out, I was adopted on June 2010 by my mommy Mariana Martinez & daddy Thierry Boulic. My parents were living in France at the time so they took me with them. At first I hated walking on the streets of Paris, they were loud and full of other dogs who wanted to say hi to me all the time. So at first I didn't like it, but because France is such a pet friendly country, I enjoyed very much being able to go with my parents everywhere. I traveled all over Europe and even had my French passport :) We then moved to Michigan for daddy's job and I really really loved it! Specially the nature and trails, I didn't have a hard time getting used to that! A couple of months after my sister Shelby got adopted. She was scared all the time so I helped her warm up. A bit after I was diagnosed with encephalitis, a decease that I bravely fought. My neurologist was very happy to see my progress, so much that we thought I was completely cured. I was able to feel normal again for some months.
It was then when my parents got involved with the animal rescue where they adopted my sister. They opened the doors of our house to foster brothers and sisters. At first I was very jealous, it was hard enough to share my stuff with my sister! but I realized that my foster brothers were also very scared just like my sister when she moved in with us. With time I got used to meeting other doggies like me and started liking it.
A couple of weeks ago however I started to feel very sick again. Mommy & daddy kept taking me to the doctor, which I hated because they gave me medicine that made me feel worse. I stopped being able to walk properly and enjoying playing, eating and doing things that my sister and foster brother were doing. So they took me once again to a different doctor. This time we didn't take the car, walked in the snow and I enjoyed being carried very much. The last thing I remember was feeling very peaceful, I'm not sure why mommy and daddy were crying because I wasn't feeling any pain any more. So today I'm running like before again and I love that nothing hurts me anymore. There is a big rainbow and I can run free anywhere anytime!
From here I want to thank my neurologist and that compassionate vet I saw for the last time...and of course my mom, dad, sister and foster brothers! I'll see you all on this side of the rainbow one day.
Much love,
Louca
