Crystal

In loving memory

I can't begin to explain how much joy my sugar glider Crystal brought to my life. Can't believe she was almost 8, seems like she's been through everything with me. I can remember when she first came home so small and was so ready to explore her new home. I've always been an animal fanatic but nothing could've prepared me for how strong of a bond I'd form with this tiny ball of energy. Her size was so deceiving though, because she contained a HUGE personality. She was so sweet and cuddly but also full of sass and attitude. I'll never forget the hours spent studying or drawing with her curled up on me, the 3 am wake ups just to watch her run and glide around my room, and most of all the years of her being an amazing friend and part of the family. She was so particular, loved peanuts more than anything (even though she could only have so many), was happy to be handfed vegies and yogurt (would even hold my finger while chewing sometimes), thpught peekaboo and launching onto my head/face was the most fun, and had to have her favorite toy keys or she'd bark all night. She was such a fantastic girl and I'm so heartbroken over her loss but at peace knowing she lived a pampered life and is no longer suffering. I'm especially grateful to the staff at AEC Rochester for their exceptional care during such a hard moment. Their care towards my glider baby and my family made a world of difference. I was so worried in letting her to that she'd be scared, but the staff made me really feel that she went out comfortably and that's made the whole thing a lot easier. RIP Crystal, you will be missed.
