We have used this emergency vet before for our bunnies and I was so disappointed in the care we received. Initially when I called they could not take our bunny who was in stasis and referred us to other places. We called their Rochester location and the receptionist was fantastic and ended up calling novi to have them see our bunny due to acuity. When we arrived it was a 3 hour wait. It was pretty accurate and they took her back around 10:00pm. That’s the last time we saw our bunny for over 3 hours! She is my teen daughter’s bunny. The vet looked at her finally and while my husband was out getting food at midnight, came in and told my daughter that we could hospitalize her, take her home for more meds, or euthanize her. We waited 2 hours and she couldn’t wait another 20 minutes for the adult to get there?! So we opted to bring her home and asked if they could do fluids and regular and pain meds before we left. The nurse said “we were only going to do that if she was hospitalized”. I said over the phone as I was at home “well she has now been in a cage for 6 hours and she missed her meroclopramide and she has had no critical care-all bad for a bunny in stasis”. This is not the first time we have had to do this. After that the nurse was very rude and then had my husband with an AMA form as we were going against medical advice. We weren’t though as it was one of th options to take her home. There was another teen with her dad and their bunny across the hall also pacing. The nurse just kept saying that they had really sick pets. Well our pet was really sick as euthanasia was recommended and that didn’t seem to matter. So disappointed in care and now I feel as if we don’t have an emergency vet for our bunny now as we won’t be returning here. - Lola's Owner [Avg. Score: 2.8 ]
