We came in around 8pm because Boone was breathing weird. Within minutes of arriving, they had him on oxygen and in a room. We got heartbreaking news of heart failure which could go very south overnight from dehydration and medicine, but Dr. Robertson was an absolute angel. She walked us through every possibility, every potential outcome, every single option. We never felt forced into a decision, we simply felt supported and guided the right way for our lil guy.
We ended up being able to get an ECHO for Boone which led to an HCM diagnosis and getting him on the right medicine and care routine. Now he has a chance and we have time, however long that may be.
