Daisy Mae
Daisy Mae

This past Tuesday, we said goodbye to our sweet Daisy Mae. She was part of our family for the last 16 1/2 years and was the missing piece. Daisy came into our lives after years of struggle, doctors and procedures to give Emily a sibling. When Emily was 5, we realized our family would be completed with the adoption of Daisy. She truly become our baby and best friend.
Daisy taught us many things over her years: always take a nap when you need one, a trip to Starbucks is a must, always stop to smell the grass for a long time (especially when it’s cold outside), everyone can benefit from a nice walk and a car ride to nowhere.
Daisy was the dog that everyone loved and there was a lot of people that helped her over the years. She loved “vacationing” with grandparents when we were traveling. Her favorite place was up north at the cottage in Lexington. She always lived her best life while there.
Daisy struggled near the end, as her health deteriorated, but we find comfort that she is now with grandpa, Uncle Rich and Sadie.
